An international conference addressing gender and social inequalities at the heart of food systems is now accepting research abstracts and full conference sessions until June 20.
The conference “From research to impact: Towards just and resilient agri-food systems” co-hosted by the CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will be held October 9-12, 2023 in New Delhi, India.
The call for abstracts includes both oral and poster presentations. The call for conference sessions welcomes cutting-edge knowledge on gender and inclusion in food systems. Session organizers can choose from four different 90-minute formats: capacity strengthening sessions; panel sessions; full scientific sessions; and open stream sessions.
Both calls close June 20, 2023, 11.59 PM CET.
The request for contributions is focused on considerations to the links between research, evidence, and impacts on gender equality and social inclusion, and their relationship with other food system outcomes (diets, nutrition and health; poverty and livelihoods; environmental health; climate resilience). Under this broad umbrella, the organizers invite contributions on the following themes:

About GREAT:
Gender-responsive Researchers Equipped for Agricultural Transformation (GREAT) is a Makerere University (Uganda) and Cornell University (USA) joint certificate program in applied gender training for agricultural researchers, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The bridging grant is implemented in collaboration with the CGIAR GENDER Platform. It offers skills in gender-responsive research tailored to assisting agricultural researchers to address gender issues along the design, implementation, evaluation, and communication pathway of their research projects. Over the years, GREAT has organized over ten gender trainings seven of which are funded within the grant while eight are demanded by partners and customized to suit their needs.
