Tonny Obua received his BSc in Agriculture and an MSc in Crop Science (Plant Breeding and Genetics) from Makerere University, Uganda. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Plant Breeding and Genetics, also from Makerere, where he has been working as a soybean breeder for eight years. Tonny has been actively involved in soybean genotype evaluations (on station and on farm), seed systems, teaching and mentorship of students, training of farmer groups.
