Kalule Okello David (PhD) from Uganda, is currently employed with National Semi Arid Resources Research Institute based at NaSARRI Serere. Dr Okello for the past 12 years has been heading the national Groundnuts Improvement programme and released 10 varieties widely adopted in Uganda and in the region. His work largely focusses on breeding for stress tolerance, high yielding end users preferred groundnuts backgrounds. His goal is to improve smallholders farmers livelihoods with strong affinity for women and youth in Uganda and the entire Africa. Okello obtained his PhD in Agriculture in January, 2018. He has no prior formal gender training
