The technical resource guide for the Gender, Agriculture, and Assets Project introduces a basic understanding on gender and assets in development, to strengthen the design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of agricultural interventions to track their success in reducing gender asset gaps and to identify tools from both quantitative and qualitative approaches to support sex-disaggregated data collection. The guide describes key research findings on gender and asset issues, as well as how to gather information on gender differences in asset use. It provides recommendations on designing projects with gender issues and asset gaps in mind. It also outlines best practices in qualitative and quantitative techniques for data collection and analysis of asset ownership and use. luThe guide illustrates this material with examples from the IFPRI-ILRI Gender, Agriculture, and Assets Project (GAAP).
